Zenobia, daughter of Zabaai ben Selim, a widow of Septimus Odenathus, Queen of Palmyra and the Palmyrene Empire as regent for her infant son Vaballathus. Aurelian, a Roman emperor, captured her from Persia and brought her to Rome and paraded her in his triumph bound in gold chains.
