It was constructed at the order of Romendac II to mark the Northern Border of Gondor. Carved in the Likeness of Isildur and Anarion, the Numenorean Kings of Gondor Sons of Elendil, standing upon either side of the River Anduin at the Northern approach to Nen Hithoel.
